Twitter. Facebook. LinkedIn. And those are just three of the social networks we keep hearing about...

  • Which ones are worth your valuable time?
  • Can they help expand your client base?
  • How can you use them to connect with your clients, partners, and peers?
  • Is there a cost to using social networks? And what about privacy?

Join Laura Rees of ShinyDoor as she leads a discussion covering these topics and more. You're certain to leave more comfortable with the idea of leveraging social media. In fact, we expect that you'll be excited about the possibilities!

This roundtable is open to National Association of the Remodeling Industry members only.

Startup Communities

Laura I think this is a great topic. The remodeling community is embracing social media in a way that even suprised me, a person who is betting on them adopting it as a modern day version of the referral based business that makes companies successful. We have heard a lot of skepticism on that matter , but Twitter activity and the activity on HomePros says otherwise.

I have written some blogs on the subject here: http://users.homepros.com/blogs/Phillip

Social Media has afforded us the luxury to soft launch our company and gather valuable feedback. I suspect that you will see more niche communities like ours pop up. Its a great place to network with peers, cultivate business, and syndicate your content. We will have a live directory like Linkedin in a few weeks, and will next implement  productivity tools into the social environment.

Just in case you wanted to know what was "next" :)
